USB audio driver and HAL overload notification

  • Subject: USB audio driver and HAL overload notification

Hi.

I'm developing custom usb audio driver for non class compliant device.
When using small buffer sizes and/or high sample rates I get glitches.
Using HALLab IO Cycle Telemetry Window I can notice that these glitches correspond to HAL overload notification.
This means that HAL real time thread misses its deadline.
I'm not sure how my driver can affect this (but it may be guilty I guess).

How can I find out what happens with HAL real time thread when overload occurs and what delays this thread?

Thanks,
Vyacheslav.
