sample based drum machine using midi

Hi,

I am a newbie about coreaudio and now trying to code a drum machine which can be used with a midi keyboard. For now, I used many AudioFilePlayer units which are connected to mixer and then output unit. When the midi keys are pressed, the AudioFilePlayer units can play the audio files. But I need some help, because actually I don't know whether this is a correct approach. Cause I need to use MusicSequencer but it doesn't seem to be easy with this way. Is there any other easier way to use all the functionality that is already defined on coreaudio? I don't have much knowledge about this issue, but I guess that shouldn't be so manually. I mean, there may be already written classes for this issue especially for timestamp and tempo stuff. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks and best regards,
