OS X 10.8 polls UAC 1.0 sync endpoint at twice the bRefresh rate

  • Subject: OS X 10.8 polls UAC 1.0 sync endpoint at twice the bRefresh rate

It seems either the main USB host driver, or the USB Audio Class driver in Mountain Lion misses the mark on iso IN sync endpoint's bRefresh polling interval. It issues IN transfers twice as often as the descriptor says, causing my USB Audio products to fail to regulate data flow and produce periodic pops due to buffer under/overruns.

You can check out the bug report here rdar://11981665

Best Regards,
Dominik Peklo
