First, I am very excited to have found this mailing list. It seems to be an incredible resource on a subject that it is difficult to find help for.
I have a Mac app that needs to get a list of output devices and allow the operator to change the device. I also want to send a message to the device via my app to change it's sample rate. I have searched all over but finding an example of this has so far proved impossible.
I assume Core Audio is the way to go but the only example I could find were the HAL classes in Apple's Public Utilities. Of course these are written in C++ and I am having a difficult time getting them to work. I am new to Objective C but it seems I may need to learn two new languages to make this work.
Does anyone happen to have an Objective C example for doing the above. Even if C++ is the way to go, I would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance.
