How to unhide Audio device?

Hi all,
I'm developing a audio driver, i need to hide audio hardware device from the system preferences, and unhide this device when i want.
Now i can hide it by the way to set the "kIOAudioEngineIsHiddenKey" to non-zero. Who can tell me how to unhide and hide it use application when need or how to set this hidden device to the System Default Device?
