Internal Speaker stop work when i plug out the Headphones from audio jack

Hi all,
I'm developing a audio application on MacOS, and the application will use CoreAuio to play audio data. The sound is good at the beginning, But when i plug out he Headphones from jack, there will be a flap sound from the internal speaker, and can't hear anything from the internal speaker after this. But if i tune this speaker's volume or mute unmute this speaker from the system preferences, my application's sound come again.
This issue just will happen on MacBook Pro installed MacOS10.8.
I just want to know what happended or how to fix this issue in my application?
