Hey,
the last few days or maybe already a week I tried to get myself into CoreAudio (on OSX). Spent hours reading through the documentation and also read the book Learning Core Audio.
Its getting clearer and clearer, but any help with links or books I dont know about would be much appreciated.
My problem is understanding the whole thing. I have now a script which is getting Audio from an Interface and sending it back to the speakers. But there is almost no info about the channels one stream has. There are Busses and somehow channels, but I dont know how to handle them.
Lets say I have an Audio Interface which has 4 Ins, and 4 Outs. That means I make an AUgraph with an input and an output device.
I can connect nodes to the graph, but what if I only want to apply one effect to one channel of the device? Is one AUgraph capable of handling multichannels? Or do I have do some crazyness and make subgraphs for each channel? (This is only a thought, I dont really know how I would do this.)
Thanks for any information, I feel like this is a very difficult thing to get into because there is so little information out there and I hope this mailling list is a place to get help.
Benjamin
