Remote I/O Hardware Timing

  • Subject: Remote I/O Hardware Timing

When working with the Remote I/O unit on iOS, how can I get timing information telling me when the first sample of my output buffer will hit the speaker, as well as when the buffer of microphone samples was captured?

I have inspected the timestamp passed into both the output bus’ render callback as well as the graph’s render notify callback. It is always the same across one render operation and does not appear to give me any insight into when my sample buffers did/will hit the hardware.

Thanks in advance,
Andy.
