AUFilePlayer how to calculate start sampleTime from seconds?

  • Subject: AUFilePlayer how to calculate start sampleTime from seconds?

Hey guys,

I have an AUFilePlayer which is getting started from a MusicSequence. Its all working fine but if I „move“ the playhead forward when the sample actually started, I need to start the FilePlayer forward.

I have the time value (in seconds) from the MusicSequence but I have to calculate the sampleTime from the seconds I got to start the FilePlayer.

There should be a way to do this but I can’t think of one, the property of the FilePlayer CurrentPlayTime returns also sampleTime -stamps which need to be somehow calculated into seconds to be displayed?

What is the equation to calculate sampleTime from seconds?

Thanks guys would really help me right now.

-Benjamin
