AudioServerPlugin: kAudioDevicePropertyDeviceIsAlive

  • Thread-topic: AudioServerPlugin: kAudioDevicePropertyDeviceIsAlive

Under certain conditions, we would like that the plugin is not usable by the HAL (for example when the license which protects the plugin is not valid).

Ideally, we would like that the plugin appears grayed in AudioMIDISetup but I don’t if it is possible.

To do that, I tried to use kAudioDevicePropertyDeviceIsAlive but I noticed that the HAL never queries this property.

Can we use kAudioDevicePropertyDeviceIsAlive with AudioServerPlugin?

Is there another way to tell the HAL that the plugin is not usable momentary?

Thanks for your help,

Bertrand
