Well, I tried (re)installing the "BSD SDK" from XCode 1.5 and that did
not help.  Some googling seems to suggest it is the BSD.pkg on the
Panther install disk that needs to be reinstalled, but I am very hesitant
to do so since I'm running 10.3.5 and the CD is 10.3.0.

Is it safe to do so?
