Can't speak to the modern ones, but my Pismo did a 4-month or so
stint as
a primary desktop with its lid closed, using VGA out.
Yup. Most PowerBooks can operate with the lid closed. (It would be
wise to avoid this on the very first PowerBook G3's (IIRC), because
they directly and by design vent heat through the keyboard.)
