Hi ALL,
Thanks for the quick response. I feel there is a problem with
Mac OS X settings . I've reinstalled the OSX 10.4.9 then console mode
is able to respond to the NMI sent by breif press of power button.
The machines configurations are :
Target Machiine : PPC Mac G5
Deployment Machine : PPC Mac G5
OS : Mac OS X 10.4.9
Are there any settings in the Machine which is masking the power
button press.
One more question is I'm having problems with Simple Kext ( not a
IOKit one ). The Apple documentation -- debugging tutorial talks about
the IOKit Kext which has start, init ,stop, free methods out of which
some them gets called while loading and some of them gets called while
running. But for Simple Kext it will have only start and stop. How to
add the Break points for this simple kext.
Please help me to solve this. Thanks in Advance.

Hi,
Thanks for the initial response. Here the machines configuration.
Target Machiine : PowerBook G4
Deployment Machine : Intel Mac G5
OS : Mac OS X 10.4.9
I've tried by setting the boot-args to "0x14e" and also with
"0x144-v" but no use.
I've tried to press the Power button along with Apple/Cmd Key. Still
unable to break the Target Machine Kernel Debug Mode.
Will there be any problem with Two Different Architechture based Mac
( PPC & Intel ).
Please help me to solve this. Thanks in Advance.
