Hi Martin,

Thanks very much for your reply about the fink gcc 4.2
package.

(Just for reference, if anybody's doing a search and stumbles
across this message, to get the package it may be necessary to
run Source > Self Update-rsync in Fink Commander for gcc42
to be visible.  After building, it installs to /sw/bin/gcc-4.)

This is rather the "cctools-extra" package that installs only some parts
of cctools that Apple does not include with the xcode tools. The actual
cctools do not need to be upgraded in order to compile gcc42, it
compiles with those that come with xcode-2.4.1.
