Hi,
I want to learn about kernel development and set up a test bed on OSX using Qemu to test the kernel without hardware.
I came accross some source of a rudimentary kernel, but it needs ld to use a linker script (segment location, byte alignment etc.). The ld that comes with Xcode does not support the -T option (linker script).
Is it possible to build ld from the GNU binutils source? I tried it for the i386-pc-msdos target and it seems to support the -T option, but then I also have to build a gcc cross-compiler as well.
Thanks,
Sebastian
