exporting dtrace scripts from instruments

Is it just me or you really cannot export DTrace scripts from Instruments 1.5 (50). The menu options are grayed out both for custom (all DTrace) and built-in instruments.

I'm on Leopard 10.5.8 and the last XCode I installed was 313_2736.

How do I work around this issue?
