Simple User Interface has the best of a Textual User Interface (a decade earlier: CLI) and a GUI. the important thing here is that Text and Graphics are the basics of an Operating System (with a Unix kernel, obviously... BeOS RiP ;) The Linux world is about 8 years more obsolete than Mac OS X now... the good news is that Windows 7 is now 14 years more obsolete, in the year 2552 of the Buddhist Era.
I want to make either Mac OS 11 as a juniour/seniour Information Architect... or a fully open source variant of OpenDarwin with a functional interface and simple installation (3 options: dual boot, "we blow up your current HD and install our own OS; back-up first recommended" or a live-cd as default). The TUI has to be translated first to spanish and then to italian... that's doable, and no fork is necesary before Mac OS Xi.
if we have at least 3 languages (italiano, español & english) that has to be the first question (the second being the above paragraph: live-cd, install or dual-boot).

PPC RiP; long live intel and OpenSPARC!
