Greetings,
We're having a spirited argument on the X-Tech list about pager file
reclamation, and I have a couple of quick questions:
(a) Is there a utility that will dump a detailed status of the VMM's
picture of memory, including the status (and swappability) of pages
in
RAM as well as the status of pages currently in the backing store?
None that I'm aware of. 'top' gives you a something similar to this;
cf its man page.
/usr/bin/vm_stat and there is also /usr/bin/vmmap for detailed pid
specific memory region allocation.
Thanks! These weren't available the last time I looked (which is a
while now - the 10.0 time-frame :-}).
Regards
Justin
