FWIW: THe "\r" in the file name is incredibly suspicious, even
though it shouldn't cause this kind of problem. You may want to
try renaming it manually to get rid of the CR and see what happens
with it.
I thought the "Icon\r" was the way to specify a custom folder icon,
starting way back in OS 7/8/9 days. The "\r" was required.

At least according to that URL, it's a MacOS 9 thing.
All I meant to say here is that there may be some strange interaction
with the line terminator at the end of the file name, which might go
away if the file is renamed. I'm pretty sure it doesn't do anything
on normal MacOS X, unless you are using the "Classic" environment in
order to run the application the icon represents.
