assign-address is failing in open-firmware

Hi all
I'm testing a Fcode program for a PCI card. I've created "reg" property inside my fcode.  But after I create a package, assign-addresses is failing to create "assigned-address" property on G3 machine giving an error "Can't allocate address space". However, there is no problem on a G4 machine where I can successfully test my code.

The only difference that I see is, the pci card node pciAAAA,BBBB is getting created under /pci on a G4 while on G3 its under /pci/pci-bridge.  Is there anything special to be done if the pci card node in under a bridge as far as assign-addresses is concerned?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
