No.... it doesn't lie, it is telling you exactly what it was written to tell you. The issue is are you interpreting what it is telling you correctly and/or are you really comparing equivalent things... or is some other unconsidered factor throwing off the comparison.


For example exactly how long is each really sleeping? Is the Linux build really sleeping about 1us? Is the Mac OS X build? If not then the comparison is broken since you are comparing CPU load assuming that each is sleeping for the same amount of time. etc.
