Open Source Sample Profiler

Hi all,

 I wonder if there is an Open source sample profiler available on Darwin, I have tried to search for one but failed to find a sample based profiler [ open source ]

I have found gprof, but gprof is an instrument profiler.

Any pointers will be appreciated.
