I realize that this list is primarily intended for developers,
but I was hoping that I could get some expert advice on a kernel
panics. My Powermac Dual G5 has been freezing intermittenly
(atleast once a day, sometimes more). These freezes are sometimes
accompanied by a kernel panic. I have TestTool, and I have
performed many hardware tests over large periods of time. I have
swapped out the RAM, and I have done a complete reformat and
re-install of OS X 10.4 (I am currently running 10.4.10).
After some time, I realized that the freezing was related to
internet activity. I could run extremely processor and memory
intensive applications with no reprecussions, but it would freeze
if I was doing something that required internet. I decided to
puchase a Belkin F5D9050 Wireless-G USB Adapter as a replacement
for my built-in network card. I installed the adapter tonight,
and my computer later froze with a kernel panic, again while
performing an internet-based activity (signing on to an instant
messenger program). However, this time the kernel panic left some
very interesting information in the panic log. All previous
panics seemed to leave completely cryptic information in the log.
Finally, I should mention that I dual boot into Ubuntu, and I have
never had any freezes or panics in Ubuntu despite spending
significant time in these OS's. (Yes, the freezes were happening
before I installed Ubuntu.)
An excerpt from my panic log for the last month or two can be seen
here:

The very last panic is the one that happened tonight, after
setting up the USB adapter. I'm not quite sure what to do from
here. I'm in desperate need of fixing my machine, as I use it for
both work and school, and I can't have it continually freezing and
losing my work. I would be very grateful for any advice.
