kprintf on gdb

For some unknown reason I'm failing to get the kprintf()s of my IOKit driver in my attached gdb.

I've set boot-args="debug=0x14e" on my Leopard/iMac and I'm remote debugging (breakpoints, step etc) with no problems.

Am I missing anything? Any ideas?

Is there an alternative to kprintf that would print into attached debugger – maybe use printf/vprintf instead?
