No, gdb does not print any logging output (and never has).
You can use the "systemlog" GDB macro form the Kernel Debug Kit kgmacros file to print the kernel's message ring buffer. With 0x14e, I believe some kprintfs will be present. Definitely printf()/IOLog() will be in that output.
