Why do you need to mount it for debugging?
If you having problems in mounting on 10.9 then mount on 10.10 and copy SYM files to 10.9. You do not need dmg mounted for debug via lldb.
I copied all symbol files and provided lldb a path to it, though I did not have problems with mounting. Actually, I never used mounted dmg for debug as I keep all SYM and script files on system volume.

So you mean   -

(1) You have somewhere in your 10.9.5 machine the “Kernel Debugger Kits”.
(2) You were able to mount that dmg file.

Right?

I’m having problem in that, not in hooking a debugger using whatever means.

So the question is how to mount “Kernel Debugger kits” for 10.10.N on a 10.9 machine.
