All, as some of you already know, we're significantly expanding the Apple Federal presence, which you'll hear more of within the coming weeks. Identifies and generates opportunities for sales within a named set of federal accounts with a primary focus on the US Army. Develops mutually profitable customer relationships within key federal accounts which require exceptional consultative sales and communication skills. Is expected to maintain a relationship at the CIO level in targeted accounts. Achieves or exceeds assigned sales quotas in accordance with established policies and strategic guidelines and is considered an expert on federal sales. Can show previous track record of similar success in previous positions. Leverages the relationships between target accounts, contractors, and integrators. Has the skill set to form and manage ad hoc virtual teams composed of Apple and non-Apple resources. Helps to coordinate the effort to effectively supply Apple products through a variety of delivery mechanisms to targeted customers. Works to ensure that the federal selling effort is effective and results in maximum Apple sales. Understands customer needs and works to translate those needs into Apple sales. Helps to effectively work federal requirements into Apple products and services. Assists customer in developing the appropriate strategies and infrastructure to support Apple products and address needs within specific accounts. Provides sales and product support as needed by effectively leveraging SE resources. Develops and maintains an effective planning and strategic partnership with an account by identifying key prospects and the high decisions makers within each client group. Decides on the time and resources necessary to develop and generate sales in an account. Develops and delivers presentations to accounts based upon account needs. Establishes courses of action to achieve specific results for events, conducts follow up assessments to determine presentation effectiveness and takes appropriate action as necessary. Has the ability to develop and successfully implement both an annual and a long term account plan for a major complex account that is designed to meet the goals of the customer and Apple and to expand the sales into other parts of an organization. Has the necessary skills and vision to maintain a long term relationship with the customer. Assists in scheduled federal shows. Helps to organize and run account specific shows as necessary to drive interest in Apple product. Works with federal ISO resource to follow up leads generated from development activities such as shows and supported federal user groups. Obtains information and stays up-to-date on products, integration, applications, and services of Apple and Apple's competitors. Maintains knowledge of Apple's strategies and goals. Performs assigned administrative tasks including maintaining and periodically reviewing files, information, and forms. Develops forecasts, status reports, establishes schedules and attends meetings with internal staff. Normally requires BA/BS plus 5 years successful sales experience at a high level within large complex (preferably federal) accounts or equivalent experience. Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills required. Extensive knowledge of the US Army and federal computer market is required with emphasis given to US ARMY, DOD, their key high level personnel, and organization structure and functions. Exceptional ability and experience to convey technical product knowledge is required. Additionally Unix and OS X experience is a plus. Candidates without a strong knowledge of the DOD market will not be considered.
