The local IT department at our installation two weeks ago announced that the
entire domain would be converted to Active Directory in one week. Macs were
not authorized. Period. After some discussion, Macs were given a reprieve
for about six weeks, until the remaining users could obtain PCs. Citing
Army policy, no Macs will be allowed on the network after that time.
This last weekend, Macs were pulled from email access, apparently by
mistake. However, the IT department has indicated that they have no idea as
to how to restore temporary mail access. I am currently using webmail.
Does anyone have detailed instructions for:
Setting up Virtual PC with Active Directory?
Setting up a front end PC for Active Directory with connection to Macs?
I am not a network knowledgeble person and need to do something in my (ha!)
spare time on this. Simple, detailed instructions are essential.
Help!
