Quick question:
I am using filevault on my workstation (Dual G5, 4 GB RAM). The
workstation is now being used as somewhat of a server as well, so I
can no longer power it down when I leave at night.
When I log off, is the filevault safely encrypted and released, or is
there anything in memory that might be "viewed" to get my key?
In a nutshell, is it safe to just log off while using filevault, or
does the machine have to be shut down and totally cleared for any
residual memory to be cleared of encryption key information?
Thanks,
Mr. Paranoid Pike
