After cutting my hands to hell, a lot (and I mean A-LOT) of fowl
language, and wondering how the same people who developed the beautiful
powerbook could come up with the X-SERVE rack mounts... I came up with
the following request:
Can Apple PLEASE include the little metal piece that allows a person to
mount the "square peg" in the rack?
I don't know what the official name for it is, but it looks like a
little metal piece with a hook on the end of it... As I sat in the
server room installing *5* XSERVES with 5 XRAIDS by MYSELF, Dell was in
the rack next to me with that little piece laughing as I tried to lift
and mount these things on my own.
Next time I will pay for a service company to install the machines to
the rack - but I didn't trust any of the "currently available
contractors" to mess with my XSERVEs. I think i will stick to
programming :)
Typing with one finger, as all the others are injured,
Mike
