When I installed my Xserves my rack came with the tool to mount the rack
nuts in the square holes. I am thinking that maybe this is more of a
rack supplier deal than an Apple deal. That being said I mentioned to
Apple the only thing they could do to make install easier was to include
that tool even though my rack came with it.

Oh - and on a positive note - everyone who came in to the server room
(including Dell) commented on how the XSERVE and XSERVE RAID machines
were, and I quote "Beautiful, it's like a work of art, not a computer."
They truly are beautiful, but when I began rubbing the front of one
saying they were the "best looking machine I've ever seen", they felt
maybe I wasn't all there and wanted to leave the room :)
but, at any rate, a happy ending, they are all up, and will be
activated tomorrow (provided I get a CD key issue worked out)

For the Xserve:
***** Review page 33-34 of the Xserve User's Guide.
* Remove the Xserve cover and mount it in the rack first ( 2 lbs. ?)
* Use the included "Mounting Template"
(flat plate with holes on each end to separate posts on cover.
* Insert the Xserve back into the cover (already mounted in the rack)
For the Xserve RAID (not XRAID):
***** Review page 33 of the Xserve RAID User's Guide.
* Use the included "Mounting Template"
(flat plate with holes on each end to separate L-brackets to right
distance.
* Insert the Xserve RAID into the L-brackets (already mounted in the
rack)
