[Fed-Talk] FYI: Tiger upgrade disables audit

  • Subject: [Fed-Talk] FYI: Tiger upgrade disables audit

When I upgraded from Panther to Tiger, BSM audit seems to have gone away. I added the
AUDIT=-YES-
line back to /etc/hostconfig, but it did not help.

I downloaded and installed the Tiger Common Criteria package, and that seems to have resolved the problem. So if an audit trail is important in your environment, you will probably have to re-install the Common Criteria package after you upgrade to Tiger.

Todd
