The price of installation is built into the cost of the module (due to the fact that only AASP can install it). If someone is quoting you an installation charge, then go to an AppleStore and have it done.
Opening the MacMini will invalidate your warranty - and is not as easy as it looks! Installing the Airport/Bluetooth is very tricky, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The MacMini just begs to be opened by the end user. It was a snap to add more RAM, and I will probably swap the drive for one of the new laptop drives that runs at 7200 RPM.
I can't help but wonder if Apple is getting kickback from the companies which manufacture putty knives? :)
