Along a similar line, it may be worth noting (at least at this site) wireless cards or standard modems are prohibited. (not allowed to be able to connect to outside network and niprnet simultaniously).
But (Dell, among other) manufacturers are including those items on the motherboard, the restriction does not apply to laptops.
Perhaps, as often as Apple innovates and others copy, on this topic, other mfrs will be following suit - banning all laptops would be difficult, one would think :)
