I heard today that Mitre no longer supports OSX in their organization. This

computer support personnel do not support them".
Does anybody know if there is any truth to this rumor?
Some. It's a more complex thing than it sounds. MITRE's internal
infrastructure is built upon common standards. Mail, for example, can
be read over IMAP4; but if you call the helpdesk with a client problem
and it's not Outlook using IMAP4, you're probably going to have limited
help. The same goes for all UNIX users, of course, and there are plenty
of Linux and Sun desktops in the company as well.
That said, MITRE is probably the best at internal information sharing
that I've ever encountered, so internal community support is excellent
for all platforms.
