Sean:

The Audio/Video in iChat is done on a peer to peer level (meaning from
iChat client to iChat client), the Jabber server does not route any
traffic regarding audio or video communications between iChat. So to
answer your question, no you cannot disable it at the Jabber Server
level.

With text chats, it works like this:

iChatUser1 -=> Jabber Server <=- iChatUser2 (text routes through Jabber
server)

With Audio and/or Video it routes directly to the client:

iChatUser1 <=--=> iChatUser2 totally bypassing the jabber server all
together.

Hope that helps,
Mike

Subject: [Fed-Talk] Disable AV in Jabber Server

Does anyone know if it's possible to disable iChat's AV capabilities
from the server side when using Tiger Server's Jabber Service? The gui
offers surprisingly few settings (and pieces of information) so I'd
imagine this would have to be a command line/plist type of thing.

Any help would be appreciated.
