[Fed-Talk] NFSLOCKS set to -AUTOMATIC-

  • Subject: [Fed-Talk] NFSLOCKS set to -AUTOMATIC-

Has anyone had any problems with setting NFSLOCKS=-AUTOMATIC-
in /etc/hostconfig ? We have FreeBSD, IRIX, Linux and Solaris servers,
mounting home and data directories to Mac 10.4.5 clients, and we're thinking
of turning on NFSLOCKS to accommodate a locally developed application. A
test between IRIX 6.5.27m and the Mac appears to work well.

Thank you for your input.
