Just let them know, when you have an Apple MBP....you won't NEED
support!
Also, whenever you set up Mail within the iPhone, it's only connecting
directly to those server(s) that you specify in the setup, NOT any
Apple servers.

It's his personal phone. My understanding from DOIM is that Iphones
and AKO are no go because the Apple servers aren't Government-
specific servers like Blackberry servers for official Blackberries,
so for wireless that's a no go mixing government with non-government
e-mail in case the Apple servers were hacked. But keep in mind,
this is the same DOIM that is telling me they "can't" let me use a
MacBook Pro I've been asking to get because they "can't" support
Apple products.

AKO email works over POP/IMAP (with SSL turned on) (I use it with
Apple Mail). Why do you say that is a no-go?

(If there is anyone you want to give correct mojo to it's a
Chaplain). :) He just got an Iphone. He wants to get his AKO
e-
mail over it. I told him that is a no-go for now over POP and
SMTP
and wouldn't be worth it even if he tried over the Web
(difficult as
it is over the Web without trying it on an Iphone). I also said
that you brave souls are trying hard to get it approved, though,
so
to stand by.
Anything I need to correct or amend?
If it is okay, what settings do I forward to him?
Paul
