- Thread-topic: CAC on Mac OS X (Leopard)
I have SCR 3310 v2 and the firmware shown is 1.03. SCM's web page says
there's no new firmware for it. However it does work under 10.5.6.
I've tried different configurations on PPC, Intel, Leopard and Tiger. Mainly
I do not wish to carry a USB dongle so I stayed with my PB G4 and a PCMCIA
SCR243 with 10.4.11 and that's what created my problem two weeks ago when
NMCI changed my account to a different server. My theory is that the Safari
version I have now, does not automatically adds an identity preference into
the Keychain. I had some on the keychain that I did not manually entered and
there's no way on the keychain under 10.4.x to add identity preferences.
That is why my CAC works with Entourage but not Safari.
I then used my SCR 3310 under 10.5.6 on my MDD G4 and works fine with
Safari. I do not use any 3rd party CAC software on any of my Macs anymore.
Is there a link to the Identity preference tool anywhere? The one I found
does not work.
