The Olympics in China were broadcast over the web with silverlight. It was actually very well done. You could have multiple events going, one large and a few smaller sort of like PIP and flip through them easily. It was very smooth and ran fast.

Ah. I don't have netflix. But I'd watch it through Xbox 360 if I did. But I see your point.
I rent my movies on my AppleTV through iTunes.
