System configuration: 1 GHz Powerbook Mac OS 10.5.8 Safari 4.03 SCRx31 USB Smart Card Reader v5.25 firmware (was v5.18 ~2 days ago).
Problems: Up until about 2 days ago, I was able to regularly log into NMCI Outlook Web Access (OWA). Then, it stopped working. I now get this error: ----- The page cannot be displayed

I noticed that I no longer get a dialog box to enter my pin for the CAC. I have found similar problems on Navy Knowledge Online, NSIPS and the Navy Reserve Web Site (NRWS). These sites do not seem to be able to detect certificates on my old but mostly reliable powerbook. I am able to consistently log into Bupers Online with my CAC. I can access NKO with a username/password, but this is no longer an option for OWA or NRWS. I noticed that my USB firmware was a few versions old, so I updated to v5.25, but this had no effect.
I called the NMCI help desk. After wasting my time with questions and assigning a help desk ticket, I was told they do not support anything done on a Mac or via Safari.
So, does anyone have any ideas for me?
