Title: iPhone 3.1 Software Update
I am just posting this here in the hopes that someone at apple reads it and passes it on. There are thousands of reports that 3.1 freeze phones constantly and drain battery life at an alarming rate.
We USED to be able to downgrade the phone because Apple would sign old versions of the iPhone OS, but they are no longer signing 3.0.1 so it cannot be installed.
I have several 3GS phones with 3.0.1 and I will never upgrade them, but several colleagues have upgraded and the phone is now performing very poorly.
It's no secret the 3.1 update broke (well technically fixed thereby breaking) Exchange functionality for many people, and it was a fix to disable tethering.
Does ATT have that much power over Apple that they can force apple to release a bad product?
Please turn on signing of 3.0.1 until 3.1.1 or something that WORKS can be installed.
Sent on behalf of many, many other fed iPhone users,
Mike
