As a counterpoint, 3.1 is the most stable OS we've had to date on
iPhone and iPod touch, and we are fielding far less complaints about
issues than with 3.0 or any previous version of iPhone OS.
I think there will always be releases of OSes or applications that due
to a variety of factors will be more favorable to one person or group
than another. As a developer, it is impossible to test for every
permutation and combination of environments in which a system will be
used, and no product is perfect when it is shipped. You can only hope
that you don't piss off someone with a big bullhorn.
