I honestly believe this is all hyped up. We have 2 3gs phones and 2 iPh4's in our family. We live on a 'fringe' ATT signal foot print (typical 1 or 2 bars max reception). If anything the iP4's are connecting faster and absolutely holding the call better than the 3gs units. That's my 1 week very heavy utilization observation. And the units do have 'bumpers' on them which per the blogs and press is shielding the antenna - and makes this diminutive phone easier to hold.

I think I'll wait until Apple releases a fix, then I'll pass judgement. Since it's their phone and they have access to their own code.
