So here's a thought. If we're all aware that the carrier sucks, and the problems seem to be associated exclusively with the carrier, why are we blaming (and suing) Apple instead of Ma Bell? File a lawsuit, get some internal discussions/documentation in discovery, and we'll learn the truth. iPhone seems to work just fine for everything but AT&T's network (I mean really, when's the last time we heard any of this drama coming across either ocean?), so that tells me the problem is not with the devices, no matter how en vogue it is to pile on. You put a bumper on the phone and it's going to stop the weak signal from dropping completely out when you give the phone a Vulcan neck pinch, but that aint gonna fix the ultimate problem.
Seems to me Apple has done everything it can short of building its own cellular network, and yet the same old problems continue three years after the iPhone debuted. The hardware has changed. The software has changed. The "service" remains the same.
Duh.
Someone class-action AT&T. Please. I'm sure there are people on this list working in the government who can ask questions of the right people. Why is no one looking at the carrier's role in what's going on? Can we get a letter from Chuck Schumer asking AT&T to get off its lazy, cheap ass and upgrade some switches?

New Mexico law calls it Unjust Enrichment... surely some government entity (FTC perhaps) can take a look at this.
