As the guy who asked this question and started the thread, let me state clearly: I am not a party to any Apple NDA and have no specific knowledge of what might actually be in any future MacOS release. I was reacting specifically to information in the cited MacWorld article. And I believe this is an appropriate discussion, as long as no one contributes information covered by NDA. I didn't ask for confirmation or discussion of Safari features; that would be subject to NDA. No one else has done so in this thread, either.
So let's change the premise: -What if- Apple drops support at some point in the future for RSS in Safari? As long as we're not talking about what is actually in/out of Safari, let the discussion continue.

p.s. I know that at least some DoD activities have been considering RSS as a mechanism for information awareness/dissemination, so that makes the topic of RSS readers in general appropriate for this list.

Unless it is stated on a publicly accessible Apple Website, it would mean it remains under NDA. Keep in mind that even content shared during Developer Sessions at WWDC (not including the streamed keynote) remains under NDA - https://developer.apple.com/wwdc/faq/
