Well, when you're already riding a winning horse, what need do you have to
make any changes? The iPad market is looking a whole lot like the iPod
market a decade ago. ZOMG, APPLE DOESN'T HAVE X FEATURE, WHEN SOMEONE
RELEASES ONE WITH THAT, IT'S GONNA BE WINDOWS ALL OVER AGAIN!!! Apple
keeps right on chugging along, and that mythic iDevice killer never
materializes, leaving Apple in the driver's seat with the lion's share of
the market. Same story, same strategy, new device.
If not for Android and its Windows-esque licensing tactics, I bet the
story would be the same in the phone market.
