Not to say that correlation implies causation but ever since Seagate moved
their HD manufacturing to China, I've seen many more fail than drives
still being produced in Singapore, Malasia, and Thailand as most WD and
Hitachi's still are.
It would be nice if Apple would release a series of serial numbers that
could be affected.
