A few years ago while my wife was using Safari a pop-up told her that our C: drive had a virus and she pulled the Ethernet cable out of the family iMac! True story. Really happened. (For completeness sake of the anecdote, I hadn't installed Boot Camp, Virtual Box, Fusion, nor Parallels Desktop).
