The other part that Centrify offers is Smart Card functionality which is what this client is looking at.

People have been joining Macs to AD without Centrify.

You might be missing some convenience, but if you already bound your Macs to AD domain(s), work is done (and you saved your organization some big bucks).

Folks,

 

I know that everyone has opinions about Centrify.  What I am looking to understand are what gotcha’s may be out there.   I know that I have to join the Mac’s to AD, modified the AD structure slightly while not my first choice…

 

I have been working with it to some extent and it appears to work okay but since I don’t have a live large deployment it is a little hard to know or understand what I might be missing.

 

I am looking for the good and the bad.
